Kusama has stated that the release of Shibarium will be delayed until after the holidays so that players can spend time with their loved ones.
Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama said on Twitter on Saturday that Shibarium wouldn’t be coming out until after the holidays.
Shibarium’s creator has promised a release “very soon,” but in the meantime, he wants his fans to spend quality time with their families.
What’s up, Shibarium? If you follow Kusama on Twitter, you know she’ll tweet, “Please know that it will come very soon*, but not during a crucial time for people to spend with their family (or the resulting New Year’s party time). “Savor the coming days; 2012 will go down in history as a pivotal year for humanity.”
The creator, however, suggests that the Shibarium team might not pause for a holiday anytime soon. Kusama tweeted, “While they rest we work,” in response to suggestions that he take a break.
Happy Holidays to more than half the 🌎. Wen Shibarium? Please know it will come very soon*, but not during a crucial time for people to spend with their family (or the resulting New Years party time). Enjoy these next days, next year is an important one for humanity.

Shibarium, for reference, is a Shiba Inu Layer 2 protocol. Over a year has passed as the community eagerly awaited the release. Due to technical difficulties, the launch was originally scheduled for September, but no new date has been announced.
Kusama has recently claimed the beta release is imminent in leaked Telegram chats. As reported by The Crypto Basic on Monday, developers have taken the initial beta launch step.
On the strength of Kusama’s most recent remarks, some users are now under the impression that the project is complete and is simply waiting for an appropriate time to launch.
According to proponents, Shibarium can compete with Polygon in terms of scalability and security.
